why should schools have uniforms
Should all schools have uniforms?

There are many benefits to having a school uniform. I strongly believe that all schools should have uniforms. There are 3 main reasons why I believe SWL should have uniforms. First of all, having a uniform will take away the peer pressure that students face daily. Second, now that summer is on its way, having a uniform will prevent students from violating the dress code. Last but certainly not least, it will make getting ready in the morning SO much easier. As you can see, uniforms will only benefit the students.

Uniforms will give a sense that everyone is equal and prevent bullying. By having uniforms, students will never feel left out because of their style and what they wear. Everyone in High School is peer pressured to follow the newest styles and buy brand names in order to fit in with everyone else. This can be very pricey and not all parents are able to afford the latest fashion and brand names. When everyone is wearing the same uniform no one will feel left out because of the way they dress or their income level. I went to a uniformed school before, and it was great. All the students looked the same and were treated the same, uniforms will also represent school unity. Its better for SWL to have a uniform so that students can concentrate on learning instead of what everyone else is wearing on a daily basis.

Another benefit of having a school uniform is that you wont have students constantly violating the dress code to get attention. I see too many people violating the dress code by wearing really revealing clothing. It is gross and sad that students are dressing a certain way just to feel accepted. Many of my friends will wear really short shorts & crop tops in the summer to draw attention. Same thing for guys, they constantly brake dress codes because they think it makes them look like they have "swag." I think its a bad look for SWL when there are a handful of students who are insecure with

I feel as though there are a vast amount of reasons why school uniforms are necessary. School uniforms provide a professional and judgment-free atmosphere in school. Uniforms allow students to avoid the distractions of street clothing and the necessity of constantly changing dress codes to keep up with evolving fashions.
