AbstractThe rates of reaction of Alkali metals and Alkaline Earth meatals are compared in this lab. The pH of each of the resulting metal solutions are tested and the products of the reaction between calcium and water is discovered. The tested elements are sodium‚ lithium‚ potassium and calcium and each of them were placed in a beaker filled with water. The resulting solutions pH levels were tested with litmus paper. There were more steps for caclium because it is the only Alkaline Earth metal. For

tetrachlorohydrex gly (Al4Zr(OH)12Cl4 Gly x nH2O). Aluminium zirconium tetrachlorohydrex gly can cause irritation in sensitive underarm areas. These irritations can cause allergic reactions like contact dermatitis‚ acne‚ or itching. The contact solution I use each morning includes Sodium Borate (Na2[B4O5(OH)4]·8H2O). According to my research‚ Sodium Borate is normally slightly irritating to skin and eyes. When chronic exposure occurs‚ it produce eye irritation‚ cough‚ and skin rash. The hairspray I use each morning

ASSIGNMENT in DOMESTIC TOURISM and GEOGRAPHY *Rehabilitation of EDSA* *Reclamation of Manila Bay* Submitted by: NAEG‚ Nelian N. III-CTM Submitted to: Prof. Arnold Germina Reaction Paper Rehabilitation of EDSA: The rehabilitation of EDSA is one of the nicest ideas to ease the traffic in Metro Manila especially it is a major highway and almost everybody use it. In contrast to that‚ Pres. Aquino is right to suspend it and make further study about it. Surely‚ it will take time to

Investigation Introduction This is an investigation into the rate of a reaction and the factors that contribute to how fast a reaction will take place. Through the recording and analysis of raw data‚ this investigation also allows us to apply generally accepted scientific rules and to test them against results gained from accurate experimental procedures. Aim The aim of this experiment is to investigate the rate at which iodine is formed when the concentration and temperature

Economy - overviewzz Philippine GDP grew 7.6% in 2010‚ spurred by consumer demand‚ a rebound in exports and investments‚ and election-related spending‚ before cooling to 3.7% in 2011. The economy weathered the 2008-09 global recession better than its regional peers due to minimal exposure to troubled international securities‚ lower dependence on exports‚ relatively resilient domestic consumption‚ large remittances from four- to five-million overseas Filipino workers‚ and a growing business process

Reagents used: Distilled Water Hydrated Sodium Borate 1.0 M Hydrochloric acid Screened methyl orange Sodium Borate solution Method: Prepare a standard solution of hydrated sodium borate (250cm3 solution) Place the weighing bottle on the balance and record the mass of the empty bottle. Add approximately 4.80 grams of the hydrated sodium borate compound into the weighing bottle and record their weight together. Transfer the measured hydrated sodium borate to the 250 cm3 beaker then find the

Main aim of experiment 5 is to use the biuret test to quantify the concentration of the Bovine Serum Albumin (BSA) then constructing a standard curve graph and to use the spectrophotometer to perform an enzyme assay using different concentration of the BSA. Experiment 5 also verifies the Beer-Lambert Law‚ which is the linear relationship between absorbance and concentration of an absorbing species. Absorbance formula is shown in fig. 1.1. However‚ the Beer-Lambert Law is not obeyed at high concentration

Sodium is a metal from group 1 of the periodic table‚ this is a metal which reacts when it needs to‚ this metal has a low melting and boiling point‚ also it is very dense‚ this shows that when reacting with other substances it will be different and this is because it will not react the same the whole time. The other thing is that this elements electron configuration is 11 which is quite low when comparing them to the other elements in the periodic table. However this metal is more reactive than
