Explains the importance of using instructional time effectively Using instructional time effectively is crucial in the classroom. It is the responsibility of the educator to make the best of the time that is allotted for them in order to have a significant impact on the students and their education. The educator should keep the students actively involved in learning while striving to make group learning as effective as possible. The amount of quality instructional time is one of the most powerful variables in determining student learning outcomes and defining successes. Educators must consider the individual needs and learning styles of each student prior to establishing an efficient time management method aligned with a particular lesson. This will allow them to properly allocate a specific amount of time in which all students can complete a task effectively. There are many ways that educators can make effective use of their instructional time. One way to incorporate a more effective sense of instructional time involves the educator taking a broader stance on the matter. They can look for ways to find additional time for instructional activities while increasing the impact of specific learning activities. These strategies might include methods of increasing the students’ attention, providing instruction at an appropriate level and pace for the particular learners, and ensuring that the students are being actively involved in the learning process. If instructional time is not being used in an effective manner, the students will not learn in such a way that will provide them with the necessary knowledge that must be obtained for their future endeavors.
