My love for medicine has constantly motivated me to engage in activities aimed at ensuring that I pursue osteopathic medicine professionally. Notably, I have volunteered in various hospitals, and engaged in different research activities. I have learned that a good physician must assess his/her patients thoroughly, complete the respective chart work, and examine the patients’ tests for any abnormalities. I visualize myself as a healthcare leader who can appreciate the complex details of the anatomy, pathology, and physiology of each patient's diagnosis or medical condition. For this reason, I am confident that AZCOM is the best institution for pursuing my osteopathic medical education. Notably, AZCOM’s osteopathic medical program is accredited …show more content…

Further, I possess remarkable communication, interpersonal, research, and leadership skills which I believe will enable me to engage in intellectual discourses with both my lecturers and colleagues.
As a medical leader, I intend to bring a deep desire to learn, a strong will, and a humble team-oriented attitude to make a positive contribution to the program and, eventually, to the field of medicine. I am confident that acceptance in this program will help me to nurture my dedication towards satisfying my patients' quality of life. Acknowledging that medical school will be difficult and an arduous learning process, I anticipate the opportunity to utilize my intrinsic traits of selflessness, curiosity, and being thorough in order to emerge victorious. If accepted, I am confident that the guidance, teaching, and training I receive will enable me to continue contributing towards the medical profession. It will also enable me to achieve my ultimate dream of becoming an exceptional medical

There is a common misconception about pre-medical students that once they step foot on campus, they must give up all the fun activities not directly related to medical school preparation. According to this viewpoint, students must replace their hobbies with studying, volunteering, and research in their free time. While compromises must be made by any college student, this perspective is largely inaccurate and does not truthfully reflect a happy, successful pre-med student. A successful student is one who balances their schoolwork and medical school preparation with pursuing their own personal interests and having fun outside of school.…

I want to help people lead happy and productive lives, and I feel that the best way to do this is through internal medicine. As I aspire to commit myself to education and contribute to the community, I search for a program that will not only help me achieve the above mentioned, but also stress on resident education and teamwork. I look for a program that provides a nurturing environment for residents to learn and pursue their interests in medicine and equips them to become well-rounded and confident clinicians. I have come to realize that the time spent abroad has given me a rich and diverse background. I feel confident that it has prepared me well for the hardships that residency may bring. Above all, Kettering has everything that I search for in a program. The community feeling and setting that Kettering has, along with high quality teaching and clinical experience, make your program a real treasure. I really admire the stress your program puts on resident education, and the environment that it provides for them to pursue their interests. Lastly, travelling the road of residency alongside my brother, a resident here at Kettering Medical Center, would make this experience even more memorable. I will give my utmost enthusiasm, diligence, passion and optimism to your program, if given the opportunity. I believe that Kettering would be a truly special place to train…

At this time I knew that I wanted to go into medicine already but 2 years before this class was the moment I figured out that I wanted to do this. Going to Guatemala on a mission trip changed so much for me. Sometimes I wonder if one week was able to show and teach me so much about the world that we are living in, then what could two weeks do? Two months? It’s because I truly believe that I was given such a supportive family, intense interest in science, and a love for people for the people who weren't as lucky as I was. When I arrived in Antigua, from the first all the way to the last day, I had never experienced so much love from complete strangers. Strangers who were living under tarps or didn't have shoes and I never, not once, heard complaints about anything. The amount of faith they had and love would bring tears to my eyes. It was a time like this that I wished I could give them more. I realized that with the life that I was given I had the opportunity and the recourses that I needed to help people around the world that don’t have the opportunities that so many others…
