According To Her Iep Case Study
According to her IEP Anna is an extremely bright young lady with an interest in music. She has a strong work ethic and tries to do well but like Belinda said, suffers from autism and anxiety which results in selective mutism, which impacts her ability to communicate with others in a school environment.

Chris, her anxiety also becomes elevated within the Physical Education setting when trying to play competitive sports. She is unable to participate when she feels others are looking at her.

Anna’s mom, mentioned that Anna will verbally express when noises are too loud and is more likely to actively withdraw from being overwhelmed. Less sensory input will increase her ability to concentrate and participate in class.
