CH1: ACER INC IN CONSUMER ELECTRONICS

1.1 About Acer:
Acer Inc is a Taiwanese manufacturer, produce of computers, smartphones and peripherals, among of the products are forcing on the low- to mid-priced models. Moreover, Acer is the world's fourth-largest PC brand, is also the world's third-largest notebook computer brand, has international operations management team, a total of 8,000 employees in worldwide, 2012 consolidated revenue of NT $ 4,295.11 billion, and operating net profit of 1.025 billion. (Exhibits 1)

“Curious, Progressive and Human” is Acer’s brand values, reflecting to Acer is not a product oriented, but is a customer oriented company, offers variety of simple and accessible products to customer, though curiosity to “exhume” any innovative idea, and with actively seeking progress to be its attitude, to meet customer’s different needs. Sufficiently achieved the company’s mission, is “Breaking down barriers between people and technology”.

1.2 Product classifications:

The major product classifications of Acer are “Consumer Electronics”, including of Computer (Desktops, Laptops, Tables and other portable computers), Peripherals (Monitors) and Smartphones (Exhibits 2). There are environmental friendly design and selling in a reasonable price.

Computer:
Which divide into two categories of “Business” and “Customer”, to meet the needs of consumers no matter whom in the pursuit of stability and performance, or deliver to gaming and entertainment.

Peripherals:
Acer's low-power screen and projector products not only meet the environmental standards, but also save the cost and energy consumption, which provide the best viewing experience.

Smartphones:
Phone use the latest version of Android and Windows, to facilitate access to the world's applications, which provide a high performance and reasonable price to customers.
Tables:
Emphasizing on liquidity, powerful performance, and slim shape, act in concert with “AcerCloud”, whether at working or
