I remember her staying up late night after night. I remember she was still tucked away with the lamp on. I was too young to understand why my mom was doing this. What she was trying to achieve. I didn’t know that all of the long hours that she was putting into her education was for me. At the time, I strongly disliked it. My dad was working and my mom was going back to school. Why she was driving all the way down to Austin every day. She wanted to provide for her family by doing what she loves: music. Even five years later, she is so happy with her decision to follow her dreams with music. My mom wanted to prove that she was capable of having an amazing goal and to go for it and achieve it.
