Advantage of Bringing Phone to School

I do agree that students should be allowed to bring their mobile phones to school. Here are a lot of reasons:

~ In case of an emergency you can call for help. You don't have to run around looking for a phone because it's right there in your pocket.

~ If there is a black out you can only use mobile phones. All the other phones die without the power.

~ Students need privacy when they are talking on the phone. They don't need office secretaries and other waiting students ease dropping on their conversation.

~ Students shouldn't have to get harassed by other impatient students waiting to use the phone.

~ Students should be allowed to bring mobile phones because of the convenience of having one. It makes their already complicated life that much easier.

~ If a student is being bullied, trapped/locked somewhere or in something, sexually harassed or trying to avoid possible confrontation with a dangerous person. They can call the school main office or the police depending on the severity for help.

~ A mobile phone is not only used for a communications device, it’s also used for... Storing/Accessing contact information, organizing with its electronic agenda, taking everlasting photos or videos filled with wonderful memories, playing music when you need that special break, playing games when you need to kill some extra time, going online and surfing the web or doing research, and much more.

~Smart phones with GPS can help parents keep track of their children.

~Allowing mobile phones in schools may bring about a positive change in students as they learn about responsibility and taking ownership of their action.
