Alanya
This spring vacation I spent in Alanya. So, now I’m going to tell you more about this city. Alanya is a popular seaside resort in the south of Turkey. It boasts the longest beaches at the Mediterranean seaside but there’s more to this city than beautiful nature and beaches. Alanya also boasts a lot of cultural and historical sights.
One of the tourist destinations that is worth taking a closer look is the Alanya Castle, a citadel which was built in 1226. Most major landmarks in the city are found inside and around the castle. The old city walls surround much of the eastern peninsula, and can be walked. Inside the walls there are a lot of historic villas, well preserved examples of the classical period of Ottoman architecture, most built in the beginning of the 19th century.
If it doesn’t take you fancy then visiting one of the cafes or restaurants of Alanya is a must. There is an excellent range of dishes from international and traditional cuisine there. Actually, if you visit Alanya it’s a good idea to sample the Turkish cuisine as it is known to be the third best in the whole world.
But what really makes Alanya stand out is its nightlife. It is really active with a wide choice of bars and cafes. There is also a street of nightclubs where you can enjoy different styles of music.
To sum up, Alanya deserves to be high on your list of places to visit because the holidays in the city with the long stretches of sand beach, the warm waters of Turkey's Mediterranean coast, and the amazing history will surely be the holidays to
