Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity

Since the creation of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated 110 years ago, Alpha men have had a profound impact on the African American community. Notable Alphas men such as Martin Luther King Jr., Lionel Richie and W.E.B. Dubois have lead significant marches, molded African American music and guided a race. As they say, Alpha history his African American history. I would to be a part of an organization with such rich history.
Today, Alpha Men are still the most prominent men in the African American community. They are trendsetters, innovators and activist. I want to be a part of an organization with influential people. Furthermore, I want to be with a network of people who are all striving to become their best version of themselves. Learning from other brothers of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated will help further develop my skills. In addition, being in a brotherhood that demands excellence will help me always push the boundaries of what I want to get accomplished.
Alpha Men strive for personal perfection but never forget where they came from and that’s the aspect of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated that resonates with me the most.
Moreover, I’ve always had the goal of uplifting the African American community which aligns with the mission of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated. Helping the African American community through programs, events and mentorships as well as helping my hometown Ghana is of top priority. When I gain capital later in life, supporting the African American community and Ghana financial will be at the forefront of my plans. Furthermore, it is empowering and motivating for youths to see successful black men support their communities. By leaving this empowering image in the minds of young African American men, we can motivate to strive for more. At the very least I want to inspire the next generation to continue to fight for
more. If I am blessed enough to become a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated, I’ll bring my ability to find ways that members, the chapter and the organization as a whole can improve. As I improve in certain areas and earn accomplishments, I am never completely satisfied. By nature of my personality, I will able to evaluate and highlight room for improvements on the last event and incorporate new improvements into future events. Additionally, I will able to help members of the chapter highlight areas of improvement and help them as I can best on their journey to personal perfection. As I’ve grown older, I’ve realized that time and effort is a huge investment. Arguably the biggest investment one could make. Furthermore, If I become a member I will put forth above and beyond the amount of time required to build a strong brotherhood, to host quality events, to help our communities and to continue marching upwards and onward towards the light.
