Ames High School Research Paper
At the beginning of the school board meeting, the changing of the curriculum at Fellows Elementary School was debated. A woman with a son that’s in Mrs. Francos’ 1st grade class at Fellows Elementary School spoke to the board about a pilot program. She shared her passionate grievances about five different tests that were given to her son and her son's class only. Another woman with three children at Fellows, claimed that her son was being discriminated against. Mrs. Francos’ class was the only class that was required to take the pilot. This included three different literacy programs. This woman went as far as to threaten taking her son out of Mrs. Francos’ class and putting him to another class. Ames High School's business program showed …show more content…

The estimated cost of it all would be 5,000 dollars and nothing over that, which I think is very cheap. One of the board members named Luke Deardoff, said it might cost more; so it might not be doable. A Cell Tower lease land for Ames High School cost 40,000 dollars. The current land that is leased by Ames High School expires in 2020. Fifteen years is the length of the time of the lease. Monthly rental of 8,000 dollars would be too much for the next lease. Ames High School and the school board will have to do something before the lease expires in 2020. Jeremy Knutzen, my 6th grade teacher, is the Ames Middle School Athletic Director. This is an analysis of Lessons at Hard Rock High by Carrie Y Barron Ausbrooks 2003. The case study describes the circumstances of Principal Deborah Barklay who has been in the position for two years. Her school, Hard Rock High School, is part of the Leading Edge Independent School District. The district is on the “cutting edge of innovation” and implements a district-wide technological network. The district has experienced rapid growth and a change in the ethnic composition of the students and faculty. Deborah Barklay has an extensive background and experience in dealing with cultural diversity and she felt that she had all her basis covered in leading a campus of diverse students and faculty. The principal one day is faced with lawsuits that claim that the school has violated the rights of Native American and African American students within her school. She is concerned that the district officials will blame her for what is happening at the school and she ponders what her next step should be. This case study will be used as a foundation for how I should make rational decisions based on being cultural proficient and implications that happen when certain aspects of this process are overlooked while wearing the shoes of a school administrator.…

The topic of this paper is child discipline and child abuse. There is a fine line between child discipline and child abuse. Parents need to learn where that line is and not to cross it. More factors come into play in child abuse than just the parents; there are other elements as well. Depending on the age of the child should depend on what discipline style the parent should use. Also if the has bipolar disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), or post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), the parent needs to know what kind of styles to use on these children with disorders. The parent may think they are disciplining the child but they may be doing more harm than good. Child abuse is when a child is abused by a parent or an adult they may know, whether it’s emotionally, physically, or sexually. There are many cases of child abuse reported every year but many cases go unreported. Many cases of child abuse are making its way into family court more often now than it has before. People are not sure what is considered child abuse and what is not. Once people understand the difference in disciplining a child and child abuse, there will be less false cases of child abuse.…

Working hours is the amount of time a person works for a paid job. An adequate amount of work timing that a person should manage such that he/she can maintain his/her standard of living and also not to have more working hours such that they can avoid the stress related problems. In most countries 9 to 5 is considered to be a fairly adequate hours to go to work such that they could have a healthy style of living. Shift working is also one of the concepts to have an appropriate arrangement of hours such that the organization could cover a large amount of the time of the day. If we have to have a 24 hour working in the organization we could divide the time in different slots and then assigning it to different staff members such that the working hours doesn’t increase also the time could be covered (Working Hours). Moreover, there are certain rules and the regulations followed by the national and the international level guiding the number of working hours per day. It is but obvious that the same employees can work for both the days as well as for the nights to provide the services. As, in the private sectors and mainly the production sectors of the privatized industries, there are the shift working schedules which maintains the continuous work throughout the day. There are obviously certain disadvantages too related to the shift working too, but if compared and evaluated with the immense amount of the services and the comforts it could bring to the people of the university, there is the scope for this strategy to be in the food for our thoughts (The Uae 's Draft Labor Law, 2007).…
