Select a scenario in which you would apply Classical Conditioning Theory (e.g., train your dog to sit, train your partner to clean the house).…
I was very excited, I was going to get a new guinea pig. My old one had died of old age, and the new one I was getting was just a few months old. I had bought him a few days ago at the York Fair, but had to wait until the fair was over. My dad drove me to the fair, and we went in to get him.…

In Psychology learning is seen as a change in behaviour caused by an experience. Behaviorism, is seen as a learning theory; an attempt to explain how people or animals learn by studying their behaviour. The Behaviourists Approach has two theories to help explain how we learn, Classical conditioning and operant conditioning. In this task I will attempt to describe and evaluate this approach.…
Terry, 2009 in his book explains that there are four different approaches to the study of learning such as the functional approach, the behavioral approach, the cognitive approach and the neuroscience. The functional approach is the one that evolve utilization of learning in memory for survival. In this case, an animal that is brought for example from a tropical temperature to a cold one will adapt to the new conditions in order to survive. Another example is the one of hogs. In the winter time, they form groups of five to ten hogs and sleep together in order to heat one another. The behavioral approach is also observable on animals. Dogs for example when they are been trained improve better when a reward is given to them. Every time they do what the trainer expect them to do, they get a treat. This approach focuses on the relationship between a behavior, a stimulus and the response to the stimulus. Another approach to the study of learning is the cognitive approach. This approach focuses on the process of learning. This approach is used by students to store and retrieve information. For example, to remember Integrated Chemistry Technology, students use (ICT). The last approach to leaning is the neuroscience one. This approach focuses on what happens in the mind during the learning process. The neuroscience is kind of the biological part of the process which explains how the mind deal with the information…
The process of learning focuses on what occurs when learning takes place some explanations of what occurs are considered to be learning theories, these try to describe how people and animals learn, which in return allow us to understand the process of learning. There are three categories in which learning theories fall under: behaviorism, cognitivism, and constructivism. Behaviorism concentrates on the observable conditions of learning. Cognitivism looks past behavior and concentrates more on brain-based learning. Lastly constructivism focuses its views on learning as a process where the learner is active and builds new concepts. As we learn we change the way we see our environment, the way we understand the incoming information, which leads to the way in which we behave. Classical and Operant conditioning are two major types of learning. Ivan Pavlov accidently discovered classical conditioning while researching digestive patterns with dogs. He used to put meat powder in the mouths of dogs that had experimental tubes in them which measured bodily response. He discovered that the dogs would start to salivate before as soon as the person feeding them walked into the room. His discovery states that we develop responses to stimuli that do not occur naturally. For example, when we…
Dogs are one of the most loved household pets and for good reasons. Dogs require a little bit more maintenance than cats. Dogs like to please their owners while cats are more self-centered and only care about themselves. When it comes to which one is smarter it depends on the methods used to measure it.…
Humans are on the very top of the food chain, they have the supremecy over everything and anything, including wild animals. Wildlife that will never be in their natural habitat, and live their entire life in an artificial enclosure. Where they live out their lives in fear, and with all eyes on them (Carnivores in Captivity.) Many activists try to shut down zoos, and find any evidence of cruelty they possibly can to do so. Although the activists are unsuccessful, the attention needs to be diverted to the existing roadside zoos. Tony the tiger suffers everyday of his life in a cage that is not big enough for him to lie down in, along with other tigers. Some of the tigers end up dying from the toxic fumes of the gas and diesel (Tigers in America.) Human beings who run roadside zoos, know that they aren’t providing the necessary amount of care for animals that do not deserve to live in captivity. Some of the zoo owners are only in it for the profit, so they breed and bring in baby animals to attract more visitors. While other zoo owners actually care about…

Most people associate feelings and emotion with only human beings, not with nonhuman animals. Less than 41% of people believe that nonhuman animals have emotions and are capable of displaying and acting on them, similar as to what humans would do (Livescience). There are many signs pointing towards the conclusion that nonhuman animals are also sentient beings. Specifically, scientists said that all vertebrates are in some way sentient beings, ranging from birds to fish, and reptiles to mammals. Animals are able to express their varying emotions through audible sounds, body gestures, and animal-specific stereotypical behaviors.…
Humans are descendents of other animals. I believe that over time animals change to fit the needs of their environments, and that is how after a long span of time humans came to be. Humans could be described as super-domesticated animals because they act like other domesticated animals. Humans are superior because they have more power and are more advanced than the other domesticated animals.…
This fiction is funny. This piece of satire pokes fun at the bad side of human nature. He wants Petey's girlfriend Polly Espy. He had a raccoon coat, But Polly Espy wanted that he put on a raccoon coat. It could have been only raccoon coat she has been able to make enough of him. The only weay a smaller animal is albe to bear a larger weight in proportion to its size is if the volume is weak. If the volume is weak and lighter than the small animal can take it.…
