Providing an environment that is positive, sensitive, and respectfully to every individual, enhances student learning. An outstanding educator will be approachable by all students to build a relationship
of trust, respect, and praise. This flows out of the educator’s ability to listen to every individual’s needs and to be accessible with students as well as their parents. Students are able to reach their full potential when they feel safe in their environment and have established a connection with their educator. As an outstanding educator, one should care about the child academically and socially. An outstanding educator should be a life long learner in order to instruct with knowledge of content. Instructing students in a sequence of lessons that are adapted to the students’ needs and ability levels is essential to enhance the learning potential for all students.
