The ad attempts to bring awareness to how dangerous this situation really is/could be, and the horrible conditions involved in crossing said border. This can be seen through the tear-jerking moments mostly at the end and very beginning. While watching the ad you see two main emotional connections. One of which is the mother and daughter sharing a deep connection and making the most out of such a difficult trip through hundreds of miles. The second would be the use of fear and complete defeat within the mother and daughter’s eyes when they see the blocked border. While expecting an opening they were greeted by a huge impassible barricade keeping them from safely
