In their rise to power, they both forcefully remove the former leader of their state from power and take the position of dictator. They both also established a new type of government, even though different types. In terms of cruelties and atrocities, they were both cruel, but Napoleon has senseless reasons and in a sense overreacts to small things. Castro also possibly overreacts, but he had some sort of sense behind his acts of cruelty. Last but not least their policies were quite different. Napoleon made up laws to substantiate the fact that he broke all the former laws. Castro’s laws were things that would change the way his country functions.
