Animal Testing Is Bad
Many people believe animal testing is bad and scientists abuse animals. However would you rather have humans tested on instead? Animal testing helps humans live longer and stay healthy. It also does the same thing for animals. Animals should be used to test medicines and vaccines to help prevent injuries and cure diseases in humans and other animals. First of all, in the article “The Greater Good” it states,“High school senior Eric Pelly received a hard hit during a rugby match and was rushed to the hospital. Diagnosed with a severe concussion… he was dead 10 days later.” Doctors want to use mice and other animals to test to see how they can prevent this from happening again. They can't prevent this unless they test it on something that has a very similar body system to humans. They can either test it on animals or humans. Would you rather have it tested on humans than on animals? Not many people would volunteer to be tested on to see how doctors can avoid people dying from hard hits to the head. Would you rather have it tested on one of your friends or family or an animal that you don’t …show more content…

Scientist has also tested a lot of surgeries on animals. A lot of people depend on things like the pacemaker and most of the surgeries to survive. Doctors couldn't make and do these things without testing it on animals first. Animal testing helped scientist and doctors find a cure for polio in 1965 and helped treat diabetes in 1921. Animal testing could even help doctors find a cure for diseases such as cancer and all different types of diabetes. Thus, many humans rely on animal testing to survive and to stay
