In the first place, animals are being killed after testing, which is considered immoral in today’s society. We are killing innocent animals for our benefits when there are other alternatives, such as computer stimulations, to choose from. Moreover, these same animals can be in a lovable family instead of a deadly lab. We all know life is valuable. You only get one shot at it. If it is so valuable, then why take away the life of innocent animals? Don’t they deserve a chance at life, too? Animals being killed after testing isn’t the only reason this problem must be eradicated, but also because it …show more content…
is harmful to humans.
Another important reason of why we must abolish the practice of animal testing is because it’s bad science.
Although some people believe that the reason of deaths resulting in this method is not enough for it to be eliminated, we still must remember that a ‘few’ deaths can turn into many. The Food and Drug Administration reports that 92 out of every 100 drugs that pass animal tests fail in humans. As you can see, this practice is already stirring up trouble. What is to happen if people die? Many businesses will be shut down, and many will lose their jobs. Harm is not all the havoc this brutal practice is causing, but it is also a
waste.
The most important reason for why we must stop animal testing, is because it is wasteful. Animal experiments prolong the suffering of people waiting for cures because of the scientists who use animal testing produce inaccurate cures. To add on, it’s a waste of money, time, and resources. Each year, millions of birds, dogs, cats, mice, rats and other domestic and wild creatures are subject to animal testing in the name of biology, psychology, chemistry, biochemistry, physiology, genetic manipulation, and bio-warfare. That is more than 16 billion dollars spent on inaccurate animal testing every year. With this money, we can improve our nation instead of spending it on something that only causes harm. We can be spending such precious resources on human-relevant research. There is no need to squander away valuable resources on something that isn’t even accurate. All in all, we must stop the practice of animal testing that is affecting almost everyone. If we abolish this practice as soon as possible, we will be able to see a healthier world, and better-hearted people. People will not have to worry about dying because of an animal tested drug. The drugs that we take will be safe. Animal testing is unethical, bad science, and wasteful. Let’s fix this before we can’t. Contact your officials and warn them about this growing issue. Let’s fix this together!
