Animal Testing Should Be Banned
Whenever selecting our cosmetics, have you ever stopped to consider what kind of daily make-up we are using? We could be supporting indirectly animal brutality without understanding it. Animal testing is become a significant bother never done because a million of helpless animals are killed every year to try the numerous cosmetics such as mascaras and eyeliners; Therefore, these poor animals have been tested for several experiments throughout the world. However, most of these unkind activities performed in the laboratories are so cold-blooded we will never image one human doing it to another animal. As an animal right, many animal protectors strongly believe that animal testing should be banned because it is so cruel, unnecessary and provides wrong results.
Firstly, what is believed to combat the animal testing is that all animals also possess the right not to be harmed. Precisely, there is a minor difference between human and other animals, human only have high level of problems rather than animal classes. For example, a 1982 study reported that animals are not only resembling us anatomically and physiologically, but also reacting to express their

Animal testing has lost a lot of human money and time to research something so immoral and ineffective, in fact, human will never comprehend how much we can be able to achieve several advancements without animal testing if we do not stop testing on animals because we have already invented “the chemical screening tests” (Testing Without Torture, PETA 2011) which can help to solve many researches more significant than animal experiments. For instance, “We now know the chemical properties of most substances, and powerful computers allow us to predict the outcome of chemical interactions” (Testing Without Torture, PETA 2011). Clearly, modern research has no reason for testing

Though animal testing should be banned from ever being practiced or used again, people still view it as a necessity despite all of the evidence against it. Animal testing requires inhumane, unsanitary, unsafe, or cruel conditions that if done to humans would be outlawed since they either reduce the quality of life or cause disease or death. Seeing that animals are living, breathing creatures that want to survive just as much as people do, assuming that test conditions are not good for human kind, then they are not good for any living creatures. Furthermore, they are inherently wrong by nature. Tolerating animal cruelty promotes the same insensitivity that allows cruelty to people, such as serial killers and the early incidents of animal torture.…

Animal testing is wasteful, useless, and dangerous. The experiments that are done on these animals are gruesome. Bountiful amounts of people (about 62% in 2004 according to Heather Mason Kiefer) argue that animal testing is necessary in order to produce safe products. On the contrary, several studies have found these methods to be questionable. They lack accurate, safe results.…

    Benefits Of Animal Testing

In animal testing, countless animals are experimented on and then killed after their use is up. Some are injured and will still live the remainder of their life in captivity. The doctors will not do anything to help the animals that are in pain that happen to be the reason because of them. It is the aspect of animals testing that many view as a major negative against the practice, as it seems that the animal died in vain because no direct benefit to humans occurred. Even though animals and humans have many things in common like how we both have the same organ system, there are also many things that are different between animals and humans. Many animals cannot handle or take the same medication as humans, most the surgeries that are operated on animals are just too strong for an animal to take so they end up dying or sick for the rest of their lives. Animal Testing Controversy

An animal being subjected to testing is not fair; that animal did nothing wrong to deserve to be treated as an experiment. Like humans, animals are creatures living and breathing on this world too. How is it acceptable that creatures almost equal to us humans are treated like scum? Stated in the article “Controversy of Animal Testing” by Ian Murnaghan, “One key argument against animal testing involves the inability of animals to consent to the tests. Humans... can make an informed decision to consent while animals have tests forced upon them, with no choice.” As Murnaghan said, animals do not have the choice to decide whether they’ll be tested on or not, for they are obviously unable to speak. However, given the opportunity for an animal to have a voice, the likelihood that they’d reject the proposal of a test is highly likely. During an animal test, it may involve pain, suffering and discomfort. Although researchers try their best to minimize the pain, they aren 't able to completely prevent any from happening. For the reason that an innocent animal is suffering against their free will, animal testing should be eliminated for the testing of drugs and other substances.…

The primary reason why animal testing should cease to exist is because it is inhumane to strip a helpless animal of its rights for the benefit of experimentation and research. "Animals have a basic moral right to respectful treatment . . .. This inherent value is not respected when animals are reduced to being mere tools in a scientific experiment.” (Lonestar) While animals cannot express themselves as humans can, they can feel, think, behave, and experience pain. Their inability to express themselves should not be taken advantage of.…

Animal testing has always been a dispute between people; some people think it’s morally wrong and some people think it helps with medical and scientific breakthroughs. Drugs that people use or cosmetics that are used could have been tested through animals before being stocked on shelves. About 800 animals are tested on before a drug is passed to clinical trials (“Is animal”). Many animals get tested on, but many like mice, rabbits, hamsters, monkeys, dogs, cats, pigs, and some other animals get tested on. Animals can be used to find new advances in medical treatment and check safety for products, but these animals that get tested on can go through pain and death. Animal testing is wrong and should be stopped because…

Numerous years ago, animal testing was started to help humans obtain information. The process of testing on animals is, quite possibly, one of the most disturbing experiments ever performed. Many cosmetics and personal care products are manufactured every year and put into the market after they have been tested on animals. Almost every product was tested at some stage in its development on an animal. These products go through a long and complex testing process that leaves millions of animals mutilated, burned, poisoned, and gassed in outmoded and unnecessary tests. From these different experiments, animals are often left with different diseases like Syphilis, Herpes, or AIDS. Manufacturers of these different products use the excuse that they are performing these tests to assure our safety for these products. The manufacturers want to make sure that humans are not in any amount of danger. But is going to this extreme necessary?…

Europe, which has the largest cosmetics market in the world, along with Israel, and India all have banned animal testing for cosmetics. They also banned the sale and import of newly animal tested beauty products (“11 Facts About Animal Testing”). The US should follow in the footsteps of these countries to help reduce animal testing rates. There are also some alternative testing options that don’t require animals to be used all the time (“In Testing | Alternatives to Animal Testing and Research”). Animal testing shouldn’t be continued, because the drugs produced from it rarely work, it’s cruel and inhumane, and it’s an expensive process.…

One reason why animal testing is inhumane is that animals are similar to us humans. For example, from the article, “The long fight against animal testing” by Peter Tatchell, it said, “Macaques (And other monkeys) are intelligent, social animals, language, reasoning, emotions, improvisation, planning, empathy, tool-use, and the capacity to feel both physical and psychological pain.” This proves that animals are just humans, just in their own world. Another thing that makes it inhumane is that the animals are locked in Solitary Confinement, or locked in a cell alone. Now,…

In recent years there has been a debate over whether we as a society should continue testing on animals. It seems for many this topic has quite a moral grey area. Some see it as something that is necessary in order for scientific research. Many of our scientific achievements of the last century have involved animal testing in some way. Others however see it as something that is wrong and unethical and feel like it should be abolished. Organizations such as PETA have developed, arguing that animals should have the same rights as humans. Many organizations have been developed to defend both sides of the argument. I however believe, that there is no question that animal testing must be legal.…

The California Biomedical Research Association says that there major medical breakthroughs have been acquired by using animals in their research. The polio vaccine was tested on animals. This reduced the number of cases from three-hundred fifty thousand cases to two-hundred twenty three cases. On the contrary animal experimentation is still cruel and inhumane. Recently, cruelty free makeup has become a popular in the cosmetic industry. People are becoming more aware of how dangerous cosmetic testing is to animals. There is a large amount of ads now being produced about animal testing. Speaking of ads, on April 15th, 1980, The New York Times published an ad created by Henry Spira. The ad said “How Many Rabbits does Revlon Blind for Beauty's Sake?” This ad created an outrage and brought much attention to the Draize drug being tested on animals. The Draize test is little drops placed in the test animals eyes. This drug causes excruciating pain to the animal and can cause blindness. There is now may cosmetic companies making their products cruelty free due to the pictures of animals that were tested on being exposed to the public. After the commotion of the ad, a campaign called Be Cruelty-Free was created. The campaign was created by The Humane Society of the United States and Humane Society International. The campaign is going for L’Oreal. L’Oreal still uses animals in their cosmetic testing and sells their products in China, where animal testing is still a common…
