Argumentative Essay: Gun Control
Gun Control
Gun control is a very controversial topic, some people want it, and some people don’t.
I’m going to tell you some of the reasons that create a valid argument for why there should be no gun control.
Everyone needs protection, and guns provide that. If someone is breaking into your home, what do you reach for first? A gun is the most logical option, in most situations it’s either shoot or be shot. Would have those school shootings resulted in less violence if school staff would have been armed? Would great tragedies, like Sandy Hook, Virginia Tech and others; be less likely to happen again? No one knows the answer to these questions, but my guess is maybe so, maybe there would be less shootings; but to know we have to try.

All in all, it is not a good choice for American society at the present stage to ban gun. From the constitutional view, Gun Ban is contrary to the constitution of human rights and protection spirit; from the political view, it will increase the risk of tyranny; from the economic view, it will lead criminal squares to become one of the guns of the monopolist; from the social reality view, it leads to the lack of citizen means of self-defense; finally, from social culture view, it does not conform to the American culture tradition and social psychology. I think the key to the problem of gun crime is not the gun itself, but the deep problems of the society, such as poverty, social life and so on. I think gun control is just a…

Why is gun control the supposed “cure” for crime? Why is there always this need to blame guns for people’s crimes? If this theory is correct, then the belief that pencils cause grammatical errors is also true; wait, that doesn’t sound right, does it? Now, all of a sudden when the “cure” is used in this light it becomes ridiculous. In fact, Americans have a constitutional right to own handguns, and stricter laws and licensing will not effectively save lives.…

This argument over whether gun control laws should be strict is nothing new to the world of politics. They also control who the guns are being sold to and who can own them. In America, each state government has passed many gun control laws. Many people think that gun control is right because they think keeping people away from guns will reduce the amount of deaths each year. Gun control should not be in force because it only affects the people who follow the laws. If weapons were banned, that is, putting gun control into effect, the people who follow laws won’t be able to protect themselves from people who don’t abide by the laws. The main purposes of fire arms is self- protection and hunting. So if the government tries to take our weapons away from us we can just throw the 2nd amendment at them and tell them that this is unconstitutional. We understand they are trying to cut down on crime, but it is actually making the crime rates go up. In Britain the government thought it would bring the crime/murder rate down but, it actually increased about 1 million more deaths each year. The government is trying to get is ammo they are trying to limit ammo manufactures to a certain amount of ammo a day. They are also making people go into havoc and making them go crazy over ammo, so people are buying…

When President Obama was in office, with the help of his administration, they proposed and set forth a rule that prevented the mentally ill from buying guns. The Social Security rule was put forth an effort for better enforcement of the existing laws that barred the mentally ill from getting guns that were hard to enforce due to some medical records not being included in the federal database.
