There is a very stressful time in a students life when they ask “Should I really go to college?” Students are hesitant, as they don’t know if it is the best for them and for their family. In the long run, going to college can really pay off. So, is going to college for an education really worth it? The answer is, yes. College education is valued and a lot of benefits come from having a college degree. Everyone wants to see their children succeed and go somewhere in life. They want them to move forward. If even the President of the United States wants to see students succeed, then it must be a big deal and students should go to college, for all and for any reason.
If the President would be enforcing something, wouldn’t it mean it was important? The President of the United States is saying that students of this generation will grow up and possibly take over the country. Of course, society needs jobs as well and some need a lot of education, which is what he meant when he said “You cannot just drop out of school and just drop into a good job” (69). A waste of time, mostly. Honestly, if someone is going, they should put the effort in school and not drop out, which is why people think they’re wasting their money, although it is really their fault. Time and money wouldn’t really matter in the future, as it would look great on job applications, to show there was some education given. Jobs might not readily available, but good things take time. It’s true that some jobs do not require a college degree. But then again, those are some of the lower paying jobs. These are some reasons why people don’t want to go to college, which are plain foolish. If money was tight, that’d be a totally valid reason. There is no reason why students shouldn’t at least go to
