The begin the web of acts that led to 9/11, people might start with the formation of Al Qaeda's terrorist group. Al Qaeda taught paid and took care of their less that 20 followers to overtake and crash four US planes into valuable buildings (Norman). Later, on the day of 9/11 at 8:40 A.M., the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) notified the military that Flight 175 was hijacked and was heading towards New York City (Steiger). At 9:03 o’clock in the morning, the World Trade Center fell due to scorching flames in its interior that damaged it, allowing for its demise. All these events together made up the day we call 9/11. The moments tore a hole in the history of America, damaging many lives forever. But the Twin Towers were not the only buildings to be hit by Al Qaeda's group. At 10:10 A.M. a mammoth portion of the pentagon falls (Newton). This just proves that 9/11 had taken more than the World Trade Center in its awful rampage. And so, from the formation of a psychotic terrorist group to the destruction of a monument, 9/11 has left more than just scars in the hearts of countless …show more content…
The devastation that the planes left behind on the World Trade Center and Pentagon was indescribable But how does a plane knock down an almost 1500 foot building? Airplane gas heats at 800°F to at the very highest 1500°F, not nearly enough to break through the World Trade Center’s supports (Norman). The next large inconsistency is that Jones, a physicist at Brigham Young University states that thermite, a fire exhibitor that is used to shape metal was noticeably present during the World Trade Center's bitter end (Jones). Thermite is used in countless military weapons due to its fire-producing nature. Theories of military weapon use don't stop at the World Trade Center. The hole in the side of the Pentagon was way too small to have been a plane. (Norman). Going even further, Rudin, a writer for the BBC magazine asks a very important question about Flight 93 that crashed in Pennsylvania. Why was the debris from the plane so utterly small? (Rudin) Surely a plane would leave large debris around but none was located. Even more surprising, some debris was found a mile away from the crash site itself. Theorists have deducted that Flight 93 could have been hit missile while it was still suspended in air and its debris spread everywhere as it crashed to the ground. Adding more to this theory, Norman states that info about what was happening at the Pentagon was not nearly as broadcasted as the Twin Towers
