The worth of a penny is so miniscule in today's world. ‘’We often store them in jars, throw them away in water fountains, or refuse them as change’’ according to source #1. ‘’They are worth so little that Canadians don't bother to use them at all’’ according to source #1. America's economy is to vast to have the penny taking up a proportion of the cost.
Another strong argument that can be brought up is that the ban of pennies would lead to the ‘’rounding system’’. The rounding system, for example, is if a lunch bill comes out to $9.06, it would be rounded down to $9.05, according to source #2. Recently foreign military bases have been using this method, and its been working great for them. Once the rounding system is implemented Americans would be saving millions a year.

Recently, ‘’Washington Middle School hosted its annual Penny Drive for charity. Students from every grade brought in bags and jars of pennies, and, with everyone’s assistance, they raised over 3000 dollars in one week.’’ according to source #3 Over the last couple years pennies were a huge contributor to charities for many different causes. If we choose to ban the penny we will give the hopes up of many children and adults dealing with serious situations. Everyone today has a penny to spare, but not everyone has a
