As/110 Reflection

I can honestly say that ASI 110 has greatly affected not only my outlook on the subjects but also my writing style and consistency. The layout of the class was what made me so happy. I absolutely loved that I had the class two days a week but it was separated into two sessions throughout the say. My seminar class helped my understanding of the texts and subjects and I am forever grateful for that. My writing process has greatly changed throughout the course of this class. Starting at the beginning in August, I came into class rather cocky. I did not take the time to go over all of Dr. Trollinger’s comments on my rough draft and make multiple drafts. I was a victim of extreme procrastination. I had always excelled as an English / Rhetoric student in high school so I just assumed it would be a breeze. This was not the case. I completely and totally tanked the first paper. Because of this, I decided to greatly alter my writing process. This decision extremely benefited my future papers. I, now, take time to go over each and every draft, marking my mistakes as I go. I start papers rather early so I can take the paper piece by piece, reworking as I go. For example, learning all these subjects in one class helped me not be bored, as frank as that sounds. When I took these classes separately in high school, I would get annoyed because they all were so similar and nothing would overlap and it was just so much separate work. I like the setup of homework and the papers. Reading is one of my favorite things, therefore having to read for class and then having to write a first pass benefited my learning. Just having lectures separated by subjects but still incorporating other subjects is really helpful for me. I really appreciate the intertwining dynamic between the classes and
