Ballet is one of the oldest forms of dance. Dance first started by the egyptians. The would dance at funerals to express their lost and there grief. The word ballet is originated from the word ballare. Ballet first started from Italian renaissance. They would dance in court around the 1500. Ballet has grown over the years but this is wear it all started.

Since ballet originated from Italian renaissance the idea traveled to other countries. Some of the first countries the idea traveled to was France and Russia. After going to these new counties the idea expanded. Paris Opera Ballet is the oldest paris ballet company in France, which opened in 1696. Being a dancer can be hard on the human body, the punishment that dancers do to themselves is painful. That said not all dancers to this but being a dancer means flexible, strong, mental focus and most importantly passion. With all of this said you have to look professional all of the time. In the dance world majority of the time hair must be up and dressed according to what the choreographer or what the teacher asks. Then there is a large step from when you're a younger dancer that has flat canvas shoes to wearing pointe shoes. It's most likely that older girls wear pointe shoes but man dancers do where them just to strengthen their ankles. There are different requirements for each company and different from what each dancer wants.

Every dance is different and every back story of a company, person, or somthing is going to be different. There are large steps in the dance industry, flat shoes to pointe shoes. A dancer that dances in core but auditions for a lead and gets it. Like any good sport dance takes time and commitment to get get good and it and it's something that isn't easy.
