Colonial approved since it was a tradition, but weekday warriors went to far almost drowning Miles by throwing him in the pond duct taped; While Colonial knew about this prank, but he was not okay with duct tape, this made him upset and wanted to get back at them. Miles, Colonial, Alaska, Lara and Takumi went out and tried to pull a prank on them. They went to the woods, camped out and waited. Lara and Miles hit it off and started making out but it did not go far. Soon they begin the big prank, Miles and Takumi ran around lighting firecrackers to distract the Eagle (he is a teacher at the school), while Miles does that Colonial and Alaska put hair dye in weekday warriors and changed their grade, none of them got caught. After the fact Alaska, Colonial and Miles were drinking, and smoking. They played truth or dare, while drunk and Alaska and Miles started to make out then stopped. Then fell asleep. For an example Alaska was always there for Miles. Miles went for help and she was always there. There was teacher named Dr Hyde. He was very old and barely alive. Once Miles was daydreaming and Hyde kicked him out, but Alaska stood up and walked out with him. While Alaska was freaking out about having to leave Miles said “ We did not say; Don’t drive, You’re drunk” (Green,132). Proving Alaska died to her drinking and driving. Parents thought that John Green was trying to get kids to drink and drive. Many others thought that it was showing the consequences of doing so.
Mant parents felt this book showed soft porngrophy, trying to encourage kids to drink, cuss and smoke, but if kids never read a book about real kids life and teenage years they may get hurt way worse than knowing about sex, drinking and smoking, Teenagers should be able to read Looking For Alaska by John Green. If teens read this book they can prevent many drinking and driving accidents. They might be able to speak up to something that is wrong and help many others going through teenage like Alaska did to Miles throughout this
