Bella Voca Reflection
In high school for all four years I was very passionate about being on the speech team and a choir member. My categories for speech were in humorous, informative, and extemporaneous reading. In fine arts I was involved with the large group choir, select choir, musical, plays, and church worship team.
Currently I am a part of the Forensics team and Bella Voca. I joined the SMSU Forensics team this year. My topic was a persuasive speech on the need for broadband internet in rural America. I had the privilege of completing at all the TCFL meets and at my first state tournament. The state tournament was definitely a highlight of the season.     Throughout these organizations I am either serving as a mentor or using my media skills. In the Freshman Leadership Academy my freshman year all year I was taught to be a leader and even had the opportunity to travel to China and provide service. Because I am a sophomore I get to use the things I learn to help mentor a current freshman.     Over the many years these activities have been a part of it, music and dance have influenced my life in a positive way. Both type of arts are very demanding. They require long hours of practice a day, which teaches you a lot of about perseverance, and time management. Music and dance have also given me opportunities for community service.
