Benefits Of Year-Round School
Year-Round School can be Down in the Mouth for kids! I think there should be NO year-round school!

First of all, I think there should be longer days off during holidays and summer. It is hard for kids to get focused on shorter breaks and if they don’t get summer they can’t get jobs and family time. Summer jobs are good for them so they can buy a car and save for college and they need summer to go on vacation to see family and friends! After that, extra activities get cut out. It is hard for kids when they can’t have fun doing sports and for them to get to see friends from sport teams.Sometimes activities can be in the day in summer and they can’t get out of school so they get cut out!

A 1994 report, “Prisoners of Time,” argued that “a departure from the traditional school calendar could better meet the needs of contemporary society and result in increased student achievement.” Research has also shown that year-round schooling does have an effective on students.
