Physical health is defined as an essential part of overall health of an individual, which includes everything from physical fitness to overall wellbeing by Cheshire East Council. If students get the recommended amount of exercise It could combat obesity, which subsequently reduces the risk for diabetes, heart disease, asthma, sleep disorders and other illnesses. To say healthy this is an important thing to have in school, PE is sometimes the only time kids exercise at all. Addition to participating in physical activity, students in PE learn the fundamentals of a healthful lifestyle. PE also helps kids meet people and make friends.
For the students who go out into the world and join into sports clubs they are able to make friends that share the same interest as themselves. From a young age, children learn cooperation through group activities and they also form a positive sense of identity from being part of a team. They are able to meet people and create friendships that probably never be made if they did not meet. PE uses the basic values they learned in the sandbox all those years ago: sharing, working together, and celebrating together are all essential components of team sports and organized play. It could also help with mental health by getting them focused on something else beside what is happening at home.
