Biochemistry Personal Statement
Having a financially secured future is very beneficial and incentive. Although earning a degree, that can get me a well paid job, will make no difference, I will keep my hard work until the end of my college career in CSUN because what I accomplish in the campus reflects my personality. I decided to study biochemistry because I want to make a change in this world, and also because I want to serve the humanity through harnessing the fields of biology and chemistry to ameliorate people's health and to develop new technologies that will improve industrial processes. Possessing millions of dollars will support my post studies in chemistry and biochemistry branches, which will enhance my level of knowledge in these fields, thus having the enough …show more content…

At first, I want to learn how to manage my time wisely because I don't want to start working on my assignment before the deadline by couple hours. A wise time management can help me in avoiding stress, anxiety, uncompleted tasks, and low grades, so it is crucial for me to learn and practice time management strategies through my next four years. These strategies involve a sagely investment of time, whereas I will finish my tasks based on their priorities, difficulties, lengths, and deadlines. Also, I will do my best to afford at least seven hours of sleeping, so I can always be on my highest level of activism. The second action is about learning how to use and benefit from CSUN campus resources. I am not too worried about this process because I am sure that my University 100 class will cover these type resources and how to use them efficiently. Also, I will rely on online announcements, emails, and websites to discover all these resources. For now, I am only concerned about taking advantage of the gym and Klotz health center to ameliorate my health level, in which I have a little of obesity and I am trying to treat myself from migraine. Also, I am looking to work as chemistry and math tutor in the campus, which will let me involve me in LRC …show more content…

I have never worked on developing any type of skills or talents in my character. I used to fill my time with studying, learning, and enhancing my chemical and mathematical level of knowledge. I do not have the enough skills of sociability and confidence to join clubs or leadership programs. The only club, that I will try to join, is chess club. The reason for me, to join this type of clubs, is because I am a chess player. I have started playing chess since I was eight years old, and I developed my skills in this game through the years. Joining CSUN chess club will give the chance to evolve my chess in a systematic method and to compete in tournaments. Although, I mentioned that I will work as tutor, I will still be more than happy to help my classmates and friends in their science and math classes during my free time as a friendly service. Moreover, I want to join the biochemistry club, so I can get the chance to meet people, who share the same major with me, thus we can help each other out in our core and major

How to support the victim If you suspect any bullying to be occurring, you must attempt to get the child to open up and talk to you. Through the last nine weeks this class and my experiences have taught me so much about how to prepare myself for my future not only in my college courses but in my career path too. I started this path not really knowing what to expect but in desperate need for a change in my life. In all reality I didn’t realize how unprepared I actually was. This course imp articular taught me so much! I learned how to set goals for myself so that I could stay motivated and be able to visually see my completion of each goal. You separate your goals into short term and long term so that you can effectively schedule your tasks at hand in the correct order to accomplish all of your goals. When I realized that I had a fear of failing I was also directed in this course to learn how to overcome procrastination. It is easy to be motivated in this learning environment by reading the stories and opinions of the other students here. The more motivated you are the less you procrastinate! Managing my time was definitely one of the hugest struggles for me through this experience so I was thankful that this topic was covered so thoroughly in the past weeks. I actually am starting to enjoy making the calendar for each week that organizes the lives of my daughter and I. Another lesson that goes hand in hand with time management is creating an effective learning and study environment. It’s so important to be able to get the absolute most out of every minute of your time. To do this I’ve found that when studying you need to be able to focus yourself on nothing other than your schoolwork and assignments on hand. With all of the things I have learned by my experiences in the past few weeks I feel more confident about my pursuit in my career goals. I feel this has set me up to succeed. I have been able to learn how to think outside the box and be independent in my decision making process.…

One reason a higher education will further my future is that having a college degree will bring in a higher income. A college degree will help me acquire a well-paying job like a Radiologic Technologist, which is what I plan to be in a few years. I have a huge desire to help people, to help others, and going to school will put me in the direction I need to go. Many businesses today only hire people who have a college degree or have a lot of experience in that specific field. A business owner will most likely hire the individual with a college degree rather than the one with a lesser education. A college education will impact my future in many ways, but being financially set is something I truly look forward to.…
