I was inspired to learn more about this field when I read an excerpt from Teen Vogue about a girl named Anushka Naiknaware. Who invented a bandage that could alert doctors when it needed to be changed. This interested me and I researched more about it. I believe this would be an important trait that a biomedical engineer would need. I am also creative and have great communication skills, this would help me express my ideas and concerns in my future carier. Helping people ahs always made me happy and I would love a carrer where I could be a part of inhancing someones quality of life.
I know that being a bio-medical engineer I could make prosthetic libs or artificial organs for people. I could also invent new ways for people to take their medicine or improve medical equiptment. Engineergirl.org says that in 2011 only forty percent of the students graduating with a bachelors degree in bio-miedical engineering were women. This is the second highest percentage of degrees awarded in the engineering field.
I know a lot about this field already but I would like to know more about it. I would like to know what bio-medical engineers are doing now and what they would like to see in the future. I would also like to know what schools will best educate me in bio- medical
