My interest in science developed early in high school through the encouraging words of a biology teacher. That carried on in my undergraduate career when I decided to major in Biomedical Physics, a unique and small degree program, which helped me integrate my interest in physical science with medicine. It profoundly influenced how I approach my academics and continues to challenge me to be my best self. As a result, I have accomplished staying on the Dean's list in my three years at university while working an average of 20-25 hours a week during the academic school year. Above all, this experience taught me a significant lesson- when you fall off, you get back up and try again.
