The sand closer to the shore was very thick and had a mud-like texture. When we picked it up, it stuck to our hands and left a silty residue. However, the sand lost its moisture the further away it was from the creek. Furthermore, the sand furthest away had a soft and powdery texture. This sand did not leave a residue or stick to our hands when we picked it up. Instead, it slid right through our fingers just as sand on a Florida beach would do.…
But first I need to write my story in my travel book so that everyone so that back Catatonia I can describe everything. Day 2 The mountain morning experience The following morning we woke up I had A cup of hot coffee and minced Tuna and started we found that the trail was near to our hut so it wasn’t very difficult to the trail.…
On April 19, 1989, Trisha Meili, an investment banker was found severely beaten at 1:30am. She was raped and cut so severely that she loss almost 70 percent of her blood. Five young boys were convicted of the rape. Although the young boys were recorded on video tape confessing, it turned out that they weren’t responsible for the rape at all. Interrogations took place during the process in which the young men were on trail, but there is no actual way that we as citizens can tell if any physical violence or threats took place to push their suspects to confess. The Fifth Amendment discourages police officers from using violent or otherwise coercive means to persuade their suspects to give into a crime they probably didn’t even commit. More specifically, when police officers do use coercive pressure to seek confessions, they create a significant risk that someone innocent will confess to crimes they did not perform, thus resulting in a flaw by violating constitutional rights.…
I woke up on one of the top bunks in cabin twenty-two on Catalina Island at the Fox Landing. The other seven 6th grade girls in my group and our chaperone were still asleep.I was also still halfway asleep, but I put on my glasses, and sat up. One by one the others seven girls and our chaperone woke up. My chaperone behested that we wear our swimsuits, so we all got dressed in them . We also put shorts and a T-shirt on top of our swimsuits, so that we weren’t cold.…

I was six years old when my father strapped me into my first pair of skis, “Skiing is way more fun than snowboarding. Snowboarding isn’t even a real sport,” he jokingly told me while putting on his own skis. Little did my father know I would later become a snowboarder at the age of twelve, following the example of my mother and two brothers. During my junior year at age sixteen, I joined the brand new snowboarding club at Blackfoot High School. Although the club only functioned for a year, I realized that small, northern towns like Blackfoot Idaho were full of winter sport fanatics. This thought brought a question to my mind; are there schools in the U.S. that have snowboarding as an actual high school sport? After more research on the subject, I found that only a few private boarding schools around the country offer snowboarding as an actual school sport. Public high schools usually include sports that require physical exertion, competition and a way to generate revenue like football, basketball, soccer, baseball, volleyball and much more, so I asked myself; why not snowboarding?…
I will never forget my trip to Key West. It started off with a long tiring drive. We were ready to sit on the beach on the last week of summer. So we all thought it would be worth the wait but, little did we know the troubles amoung us.…

Nya is an eleven year old who was to go every day take half the morning to go and get a container of water in the heat of Sudan. She follows her culture by going every morning to the well and get water so they could survive. But the pond wasnt as clean as our water and Nya got sick. They would have to move every 5 months to camp for closer water and then come back home. Nya follows her culture by going to get water, hours a way from her village she goes every morning before sunrise. This is how Nya follows her culture, and is…
The first beach we went to was so cool, it was the coolest beach I have ever seen. There was a lot of surfers there, they were all super good at surfing. We stayed and watched them surf for a while but what we weren’t noticing was the waves. My brother and I were on the sand and since we were looking at the surfers this huge wave comes and gets us entirely wet, which technically we got wet without haven’t even gotten in the water. We went to another beach after that and I was called Baby Beach. We got there and I practically noticed why it was called Baby Beach, there was literally little kids everywhere and the water was not even deep. We still got in but it wasn’t so fun, well obviously the water went deeper but there was a rope that was to say that “the water drops when you pass this.” We had a barbecue later on that night, with the entire family and it was yummy. There is nothing better than home cooked family meals. We were all tired so we went back the hotel and it was time to lay our heads on the pillows. The next day we practically spent the entire day sightseeing again and later that night it was time to head off back to Arizona. It sucked that we had to leave but it had to happen that way. The trip back seemed like it took longer than coming to…
When I first stepped foot on the beach, I seen a massive red and white beach ball; spelling out Pensacola Beach. A flock of seagulls soared to shore to search for food. People at the beach were blasting music out of cooler, and dancing. I positioned my rear-end in my lounge chair, while drinking a Virgin…
We enjoyed the atlantic ocean, the warm white sand, and the scorching hot sun. We could hear the huge waves crashing into the sandy shore. We could also hear the lively chatter of the people on the beach. The smell of the salty ocean and the banana boat sunscreen overtook the air with mass quantities of the two smells combined. The touch of the hot sand on your feet and the rough seashells on shore. The best part of the day was when me and my brother went kayaking for an hour out into the deep blue sea. It took fifteen long minutes to fight our way over the…
