Bruce Tuckman's Four Stages Of Working In A Team
A team is made of two or more people who have a certain goal and work together to achieve that goal, The dynamics of working in a team are extremely important in an organization. In school, in different activities, we learned the basics of working in a team. In order to work in a team to be more productive and successful, you need to be able to accept the difference between people opinions and to create a balance between ideas.

Team development stages

In order for a team to function, it goes through several stages. Bruce Tuckman has made a research about stage development of teamwork. He has identified four stages of group development.

2. Storming stage

The second stage of group development is storming. This is the stage that most of the teams fail.
While in the first stage members try to avoid conflicts and be more caution in this stage conflicts start happening. Members may experience stress because of the pressure of the task and also they can get distracted and for this reason, they should try to be more focused on the task to pass this stage. On this stage members of the group may have a lot of questions about authority, rules, responsibility of members and to pass this stage they need to find the answer about these questions.

3. Norming stage

The norming stage comes after storming stage. In this stage, roles and responsibility are clear and they are accepted from the members. Group can make big descion by agreement of all because they know that working together is important and also they know that if they are united they can be stronger as a team. Teamworkers
Teamworkers are the kindest people in team, they try to creat good atmosphere they try to avoid personal problems.Teamworkers are known as a good listener and very diplomatic people.They avoid also confrontation in the team and in general, theyre gentle people.
When they’re under pressure they struggle to make a decision ,they also hesitate to make unpopular decisions .

Shapers
They are most competitive people in team they're highly motivated, they like to lead and challenge others , their only concern is to win.They like working under pressure , unlikely from teamworkers they aren’t afraid to make new decisions.They can handle conflict very easy. In attempt to get things done sometimes they can be aggressive and hurt others

The first stage is forming, this is when a group is reliant on one particular leader, if the leader is not there and someone else tries to take charge then the confusion starts. The leader makes sure every individual is aware of their role, if the leader does not make them aware, then their roles and responsibilities are unclear. For example in a class room everyone will be speaking to each other, when the teacher comes in and tells everyone to settle down then they will do so. The second stage is storming, at this stage everyone hasn’t settled into a task, they are all busy chatting amongst their selves and deciding who should be in charge. Decisions don’t come easily within a group it takes some time to come to an agreement. You start to form your own cliques and groups. People in the group may challenge each other in order to come out on top. Being focused it top priority for every individual, concentrating on achieving their goals and not being distracted by relationships and emotional issues, to enable progress to be made you may have to compromise within the group members. The third stage is Norming, this is when all members of the group have come to agreement on their roles and have accepted their individual responsibilities. Big decisions are made amongst group agreement were as minor decisions may be given to individuals or small groups within the whole group. Within the group commitment is getting stronger and unity is made everyone has a clear picture of what is happening. Now all the problems are over fun and social activates can now take place within the group and the leader has now earned every members respect and trust.
