Bruce's Beliefs
One of the beliefs Bruce follows extremely close is self-managing or self-regulating teams. He said after he communicates the overall goals for the week the team is empowered to manage their own activities. Bruce understands the need to have a strong team and this can be best accomplished by leading from behind. Having a leader who is confident and can lead is also important in Bruce?s mental model.
Diversified teams bring individual competencies. It is important for a leader to know his team?s individual competencies. By understanding their abilities he can assign a person to a specific task that matches her well. This improves productivity.
Team adversity yield positive outcomes by blending skill sets and matching task to individual strengths.

His belief is in-line with the team scaling fallacy which states ?as team size increases people are likely to do less.?
Another important belief Bruce follows closely is ?The law of addition.? His belief is to always help his people succeed first and his success will follow.
Lastly are team viewpoints, opinions and maintaining team morale. Listening to his team attentively is important because this helps to build rapport. Allowing others to express their opinions brings out confidence in people and this helps to maintain team morale.
Team members as individuals or as a whole is all about connecting with people. To be an influential leader one must understand ?The Law of Connection.? Bruce said, a good leader must be open to listen attentively and learn from others is paramount. By following this law, it brings a connection that fosters trust and loyalty. Lastly, focus on individual needs?what he meant by this was to achieve success in larger groups a leader must be able to assess the needs of each person. By doing so, he will have respect of his team members resulting with higher levels of
