When building a coalition it is important to remember that the purpose of this union is to combine resources of those with common interests to achieve a common goal. The first step is to find organizations that have a common goal that also have the resources to pull from to bring the project to fruition. The combined effort of your multi-organizational team will provide for a greater outcome then the individual efforts of any one organization. Creating a development team with a representative from each participating organization is a crucial part of your coalition and choosing an effective team will have a major impact on the success of your project. The contextual influence of the leadership along with the composition of your team members and process management together will assure the success of your development team and in turn the success of your project.
