One research project that I am familiar with is one that had happened at my place of employment. This project was about adding sewer lines to the township where I work. The township supervisors had contacted several companies to do the work, and also several different agencies to make sure that the work that was being done was being done correctly. The issue that came to light was the repayment for the work that was done. There needed to be more research in this area. This failure to understand the repayment options ended up leaving the township in financial hardship. Thus causing issues that will affect the employees.
Unethical research practices An area that needed to be changed and was handled in an unethical issue is with the repayment options. I feel that if more than one supervisor or a committee had looked at the terms and conditions of the work that was being provided and the terms of the payments this issue would have been done correctly and not left the township in a financial hardship for failing to repay the loan that they acquired. Since this is a small township and only three supervisors are assigned to the role of supervisor, if two agree on something and the third doesn’t it gets passed whether it is beneficial to the township or not. On major projects like this it should be a bigger committee to make this decision.
Particular parties that could face injury With this particular project the parties that could face injury are both the township supervisors and the township residents. The injuries that could occur are the potential financial hardship that could be placed on the residents who do not comply with the new rules and regulations set forth by the township.
