Hong Kong is an international city. Many people are busy men having many work and long working hours. However, each person has only twenty-four hours, leading that people can only work, eat and sleep without relaxing. As a result, many Hong Kong people feel moody and have emotional problems. Even worse, some are troubled by depression and even more serious mental problems.

The reasons why people having the emotional or mental problems are of the pressure they are suffering from, especially the working pressure. In Hong Kong, most people have their own duty which occupy most of their time. For example, officers usually work over time; students need to cope with the public examinations. The outcome is that they have insufficient time to get relax. They do less physical activities and exercises; also have less entertainment, which can effectively decrease their pressure. Apart from the working pressure, financial pressure is another source of pressure. Recently, the inflation makes the people with low social economic status facing the financial problems. Since increasing the daily life expenditure but constant salary, it is difficult for people to keep their living.

There are several ways to solve the mental problems of Hong Kong people. Firstly, education about emotional problems and time management should be given to the public. The Hong Kong Government can organize talks and issue some leaflets to introduce what emotional problems are, its negative effects, prevention and treatments. Besides, a good time management is essential to Hong Kong people since they have a lot of work to do and no time to get rest. After they have good time management, they can spend time on having entertainments and doing physical activities and exercises with friends or family.

Secondly, the Hong Kong Government should give more financial support to people at the lower economic level and encourage the upper-middle class to increase employees’ salary. Moreover, although there

    If we want to know more about stress, dimension of mental health is an important that we need to discover.
