Capricornus Astrology
1. The constellation I have chosen is the capricornus, which is a dim (only one star over 3 in magnitude) constellation on the zodiac, i.e. on the south hemisphere near the celestial equator. It can be seen from latitudes of about +60 to -90 degrees. It has a v-shape as can be seen in the figure below. I have chosen this constellation as I, in astrology terms, was "born in the constellation" and thus I was a bit curious about it.

The capricornus is often depcited as a goat with a fish hind-side. I'm gonna tell you the story of how this became. You see there was once a goat who lived peacefully in the woods, minding his own business when suddenly he came up to a large river. He had the urge to pass the river but he didn't fully understand why, and there were no visible ways to cross it other than to swim. The goat stood there, thinking if he should try to swim across it even though he wasn't a good swimmer, when a fish cracked the surface and asked what the goat was thinking about and if maybe he could help him somehow. The goat, who really wanted to cross the river asked if the fish could help him swim across the river. But the fish said that it might be difficult to swim across without a fish tail, but the goat could borrow his until he came to the other side and then they could switch back again. The goat did as the fish wanted and took his tail to swim across. When he sat on the other side the fish laughed and said that finally he could walk on Earth again and continue his quest on beating the Gods, after a horrible spell had been made upon him so that he would never be able to walk on Earth again. The goat became terribly sad and mad at being so easily tricked and so he swam back to the former fish. And before the fish had any time to prepare himself the goat butt him so that he flew all the way over the edge of the Earth. When the gods heard about this deed they became so grateful that they

It is made up of five stars, the four brightest of which are: Alpha Cassiopeia, Beta Cassiopeia, Gamma Cassiopeia, and Delta Cassiopeia. It is bordered by Andromeda to the south, Perseus to the southeast, and Cepheus to the north. It is opposite the Big Dipper.…

They pulled up the line to find an enormous fish on the hook. The eldest hunter leaned over the hole to thank the spirits for the food. He had just finished speaking when, to their surprise, the water spoke, “No thanks needed” it said. Then a gigantic sand shark flopped onto the ice. The three hunters licked their lips out of hunger. It spoke, “Please do not eat me, for I am the reason you have this fine fish.” Then it jumped back into the water. Day after day the hunters came back again and again to have mounds of fish dumped upon them. One day the sand shark asked for something in return. “I ask only one thing, that you make me the symbol of your tribe.” it said. The hunters kept their end of the bargain and made the sand shark the symbol of my people. And that is why the sand shark is honored by my clan to this…

The word Zodiac comes from the Greek word Zodion, which means “Little animal.” The zodiac signs are the constellations along the Ecliptic at the respective points at certain days of the year. The zodiac signs are: Leo the Lion, Gemini the Twins, Aries the Ram, Sagittarius the Centaur, Taurus the Bull, Virgo the Virgin, Cancer the Crab, Libra the Scales, Capricorn the Seagoat, Scorpio the Scorpion, Aquarius the Water Bearer, and Pisces the Fish. One can find their zodiac sign by using a Celestial Sphere, a model of space by representing constellations and other astronomical figures on an imaginary bubble surrounding the earth. On the path in which the sun moves, known as the ecliptic, there are the individual days of the year. If a person finds where the sun meets their…
