Case Study; Improper Planning and Readiness
INTRODUCTION
This case study takes place in an office setting in ABC Inc. We’re a young man name Carol Robins has been given a task by his boss Monica Carrolls to hire 15 new recruits. He was given a list of different task and planning to get done before June15.
Carol was a young and not experience enough on how to accomplish the task he needed to get done. PROBLEM AND KEY ISSUES
One of the first problems is when Monica Carrolls gave him the assignment. He wasn’t very experience with his job. You can tell from the situation that he didn’t have the experience to complete the task. If he had the experience he would have known what to do. Such as he would have sat down done backwards planning. Starting from June 15 and working backwards seeing what he needed to get done by what date. He would have found out that he should has all the paperwork, drug test done ahead of time. And thoroughly going over all the information, background checks of all the candidates. After he made sure that was all good he would contact each one and let them the date of the orientation and then reserve the classroom for that date and time for orientation. Carol failed to do all of that. He did some of the paper work but nothing near enough to get the task done. He was new to his job and didn’t have a clue on what to do. He never really planned ahead. He put the orientation on his calendar or a note pad, never coordinated with the human resources if the room he wanted was open at that time. Or could have asked around if the class room was going to be open at for the orientation. He had 15 personal folders and several different training schedule, orientation, manuals, policy booklets, physicals, drug tests, and a host of other issues he had to plan. The orientation was on June 15 he waited till the day of the check the paperwork and test were complete and to see if the orientation room was open at that time.

ABC, Inc. did not provide enough supervision and guidance for their new campus recruiter, Carl Robins, who has only been in his position for six months. Monica Carrolls, as the operations supervisor, should have followed up on her conversation with Carl instead of assuming that everything was ready for the orientation training. As a new recruiter, Carl should have started preparing earlier for the orientation training to make sure everything could be completed in time and ask for help if he needed it. Because of lack of planning and scheduling, the training must be postponed until July when the training room will be available.…

The novel Sula, is a work which contrasts the lives of its two main characters Nel and Sula. They appear, on the surface, to be the epidemy of binary opposites but this is in actuality their underlying bond. The differences in their personalities complement one another in a way that forges an almost unbreakable alliance. Sula is compulsive and uncontrollable while her counterpart, Nel, is sensible and principled. To prove Nel human by subscribing to the theory that a human is one who possess both good and bad traits, one must only look at how she interacts with Sula, here both negative and positive traits are evident.Nel's "good" traits obviously come to the forefront when looking at her character. One might say this is a result of how she was raised and that she was simply a product of her environment. Nel's parents married out of convenience rather than love and Nel was raised in a household of "oppressive neatness" (page 29). Nel's mother Helene played a large role in establishing her positive attitude and calm demeanor. "Under Helene's hand the girl became obedient and polite. Any enthusiasms that little Nel showed were calmed by the mother until she drove her daughter's imagination underground."(Page 18) Although this would seem lead to an extremely sad existence, it was exactly this kind of environment that lead to Nel's calm and reasonable disposition.Nel's "bad" traits are as well hidden as her "good traits are evident. If there were one action in particular that might blemish the otherwise flawless character of Nel it would be her selfish behavior. This behavior is seen when Nel attempts to recreate the relationship that she and Sula share with someone else, instead of maintaining her relationship with Sula. Now instead of Nel and Sula joined to make one person, Nel and Jude "together would make one Jude." (Page 83) Another of Nel's negative qualities was how dependent she was on what other thought of her. The only reason Nel ended her relationship with…

He was very positive with them but had a lack of rules and boundaries for the students. I felt the students took advantage of this and used it to their advantage. When a student had given a wrong answer all students would call this student out and let them know there mistake. The teacher did nothing to stop the students and let the verbal bashing continue. While this continued he continued on with his questioning I believe to bypass the issue and stay on topic or to just ignore the issue still not sure…

Thanks a ton for you post, there is no doubt this class has already hooked me. I understand this information was not in the scenario, but other things to take into account are Larry's and Jane's experience. If Larry is a new, inexperienced Co-Manager, he needs to be educated on the proper procedure for changes of policy and/or take additional managerial classes. I could easily go on and on about this scenario, but I should limit myself!…

Some of the strengths of having planning and preparation in place is that you are able to work with a plan to identify the best possible way for that individual child to settle into the setting. Another strength of having planning and preparation is that the practitioners are prepared for that child to come in, having a heads up in advance will give the practitioners the best means that they need to prepare themselves and the child coming in. For example if a child was coming into the setting on a certain day they could bring their parents to start off with, then having a hour away from their parent/ gradient and then increasing the hours until the child is ready for a full day, this allow the child to settle and reassure them that mam or…

During my community mental health rotation at the Vikuruti rehabilitation centre I noted that, there is a problem in the readiness assessment before patients transferred/ referred from MNH to Vikuruti rehabilitation centre. First I heard one of the staff who mentioned readiness assessment as a challenge when we were asked them about the challenges which they met as a rehabilitation. She said that, “I don’t think if MNH staff did a proper assessment of those patients who brought here to see if they are really ready to come for rehabilitation, because some patients when they reach here they complain and said they are not ready to stay here and if they…

In this topic plan evaluation, I now understand why we always have visitors from the division, region and even from the central office visiting our school to evaluate and observe how things are being carried out. In my three years of service in the government, there was no school year that there was no evaluation. Seeing them holding some checklists made us tremble while asking us things and observing our classes. Being new in the system I wondered and ask myself, is it proper that after evaluation they will have feed backing so that we will be able to know what areas we need to improve and what are their suggestions for the betterment of our school and children. That is one thing that I had observed that after evaluation, results of the observation were not discussed for improvement sake. As I go over with my topic in plan evaluation I was enlightened why they regularly conduct evaluation and why we were not informed about the results of the evaluation. It was then that the results were for the policy makers, program directors and direct program staff consumption only.…
