Case Study Of Quadcopter
This is the final report for the final year project. Group design project at the University of Gujrat, Department of Engineering & Technology. It is a record of the project undertaken. This document is available electronically. A quadcopter is an aerial vehicle that uses four rotors for lift, steering, live streaming and stabilization. As the technology becomes more advanced and more accessible to the public, many engineers and researchers have started designing and implementing quadcopters for different uses. Various groups such as the military, engineers, researchers, and hobbyists have been developing quadcopters to understand different technical areas. The aim of this project was to build the quadcopter with Arduino UNO kit. This project was a great learning opportunity for us to apply our engineering knowledge. The thesis addresses the difficulties our group faced throughout the project. Choosing the …show more content…
The quadcopter design had never really caught on the mainstreams aircraft design due to its stability issues; however, quadcopters have recently becomes very popular because of radio controlled (RC) aircraft, and in other particular drones. It uses an electronic control system and electronic sensors to help stabilize itself.
1.1 Background problems
Quadcopter is an important aspect of any type of UAV's. Quadcopter is a latest design of UAV's. The early use of UAV's was in military. The first attack with UAV's was in 1849 when Australia attacks on Venice with Unmanned Balloons which loaded with explosives. While some balloons were reach their targets, most are blown back to Australians lines because of change wind. The birth of US UAV's has begun in 1959 when US Air Force losing their pilots over hostile territory. Over the last few years we have seen a massive growth in the manufacture and sales of remote control airborne vehicles.

The American society in which we grew up is one that prides itself on the advancements we continuously make in the technological field. Though there is some value in the use of devices to aid our lazy American culture, the sacrifices of opening our skies to the new drone age greatly outweighs the benefits of making life easier than it already is. While many companies shift to now offer drone delivery right to our doorsteps, the administrators in charge are not paying attention to the laundry list of determinants that can result from our growing reliance and dependence on something which stands as a want as opposed to a necessity. Drones should not be regarded as the top technological success…

Drones are flown by pilots thousands of miles away, controlled from remote bases like Creech Air Force Base, where no pilot ever leaves the ground. The base is located 45 miles north of the Las Vegas Strip. Drones help support military troops on the ground by giving them a bird’s eye view, utilizing sophisticated imaging and radar technologies. Drones are mainly used to find and target individuals or small groups. The government claims that with the help of drones, they have eliminated up to 70% of al Qaeda’s…

Shortly after the first flight, wars broke out across the world. Immediately engineers tried to find a way to get an edge in a combat situation. This edge came in the way of aerial combat support for the troops on the ground. As the technology improved, the design, strength, and functionality of combat aircraft has improved. From the P-40 Warhawk, to the P-51 Mustang, to the F-4 Phantom, to the F-14 Tomcat, F-15 Strike Eagle, and F-16 Viper, the technology improved time and again, making air superiority a key part of American warfare.…

Drones are starting to appear everywhere in today’s society, whether it be for commercial use or governmental use. Having this new found technology leads to the matter of the limitations of the usage of a drone, as in air safety, privacy of the people, and security. The consensus says that drones are for the better because of their diverseness and mobility. Although the argument has been made that drones will lead to a less private lifestyle and that the government will be able to track citizens and watch their every move. Drones In Film Making

UAS in my opinion will eventually become a major tool in filmmaking, from documentaries all the way to major motion picture. I saw this because with drones and the advances in camera technology, it is possible to capture high-quality aerial footage for a fraction of the price and time that it would take using a helicopter, plane, or other form of technology to get that aerial shot. One example I can think of that we watched in class was the short film of Auschwitz. Granted, it might not have been absolutely breathtaking having every shot by an aerial drone shot, but those types of shots are great for establishing shots when introducing scenes. Another example I can think of in a big budget film was one film (of course, I'm forgetting the movie name, though I want to say Jurassic Park) where for one shot they…
