Throughout my nine years of schooling at Mary Queen of Peace, I have been blessed with many amazing experiences and opportunities and have deeply grown in my faith. Ever since I was younger, I have always felt at home at MQP. The people here form a loving community, and I have found many of my best friends through here. I don’t know where I would be today, without these friends. Yes, I know that I would have made friends at any school, but I don’t think that I could ever find friends as wonderful as the ones I have made here. What makes Mary Queen so unique, compared to other schools, apart from the people, is all of the service opportunities that we have here. Each grade focuses on a different aspect of stewardship (examples are social justice, feeding the hungry, the military) to focus on throughout the year. We go on field trips, have collections for essential items, and do many more kind acts based on our theme for the year. Throughout all of …show more content…
the stewardship work I have done throughout my years at Mary Queen of Peace, I have learned much more about myself and what I have to be thankful for. The activities we have done have really helped me to become a better person. Mary Queen has helped me to thrive academically.
I have learned helpful study skills that I will will use for the rest of my life, and I have been able to take part in many unique opportunities such as attending academic decathlons, taking the ACT early, and many more great things. The teachers here are amazing, and they help you to really understand what you are being taught. Every teacher has been able to teach me about something important and about important life skills. In every class I have attended at Mary Queen, I have always learned something. At MQP, I am not just taught the fundamentals but also how to grow in my faith and how to become a better person. Each Wednesday, we have all school Masses, which is a chance for the whole school to come together and receive the Eucharist. This one one of my favorite thing about attending a Catholic school. Attending Mass together really brings brings the school community together, and it is a great time to broaden your
faith. At Mary Queen, the virtues are a big part of our everyday life. Each month, we focus on a different virtue and try to live that virtue out each month. By doing this, I think more about my actions. I am glad my parents chose to send me to a place where good values and beliefs are stressed. There are many special memories that I have experienced at MQP that I will always hold close to me. Some of my favorite are the Halloween Parades, Kindergarten Graduation, the 100th day of school in first grade, First Communion, Sixth Grade Camp, and many more. Every year is filled with so many memorable things that I cannot even begin to describe. Attending Mary Queen of Peace has caused me to learn more about myself and the world around me. Mary Queen of Peace, along with the many memories I have here, will always hold a special place in my heart.
