Course Prerequisites • You will use a computer word processing program to type all of your written assignments for this course. • You will need a zip drive or diskette where you can save written material. • You will absolutely need a campus email account and be able to access Blackboard Learn. Assignments and communications from your professor will be posted via the Blackboard Vista site on a frequent basis. • You will be required to use the digital library resources (Psyc Info, Psych Articles) to find relevant research related to assignments. During the course of the semester, we will be reviewing strategies for using the digital library resources

Learning Objectives • Students will begin the process of learning to communicate with others in a respectful and informed fashion (e.g., writing, class participation). Class participation is not optional in this course. • Students will develop the skills needed to carefully examine and critique research studies in the social sciences.
