Confidence is a big deal when it comes to being a cheerleader it is a required characteristic that is built up within the sport itself. Before cheerleading I was the quiet, timid girl just trying not to make eye contact with anyone. Now I am outgoing and talkative because cheerleading helped find my confidence by forcing me to become open with my coaches and teammates. Also, the moment my uniform was on, my head was held high with a smile on my face. She means more to me than life itself because when all I wanted to do is give up she never let me go. I felt safe to open up to her without fear of judgement, but with understanding, support and love. She soon began to realize that I was not who she thought I was, but knew that we actually needed each other. She began to open up with me, starting to trust me like I trusted her. However, instead of walking away and leaving like most people would have, we stayed and pushed, supported, and loved each other through the many difficulties. Without my decision of wanting to be a cheerleader I would have never met her and at times I believe that without her I would not be where I am
