Cheerleading

While not a community in the traditional sense, the one that is most important to me is cheerleading. To me, my teammates are my second family. They push me physically, academically, and socially. Naturally, I am a shy person and I seldom engage in unnecessary social interactions. However, my teammates influence my social behavior by encouraging me to step out of the box that I often trap myself in. I have determined that this is especially useful in my academics because it has pushed me to become more engaged within the classroom and not to be timid when offering my ideas.
