Chicago Blackhawks
Best Team in the NHL
The debate over who is the best team in the NHL is as old as the league itself. Everyone has a favourite team, but just because they are your favourite team does not mean they are the best! There are lots of excellent teams in the NHL but none are superior as the Chicago Blackhawks. The Chicago Blackhawks are simply the best team in the NHL.
First off they are first place in the NHL as of right now with only 4 games left (www.nhl.com) in the regular season. One of the reasons they are in first is because the kicked off the shortened regular season with a 24 game point streak (www.nhl.com)! This means they played the first half of the season without losing in regulation, either losing in a shootout or overtime, or winning. Also they have kept this amazing pace over the course of the season, being the only team left in the NHL with less than 10 regulation loses [(their record is 34-5-5)www.nhl.com].
Secondly the have one of the best rosters in the league. It includes a great balance of skill, grit and toughness making them one of the toughest teams in the league to play. They had 7 all-stars in the past 2 years (www.nhl.com) showing they have consistent skill. Their roster holds the 2010 Norris trophy winner (league’s best defensemen) in Duncan Keith, the 2008 Calder trophy winner (league’s top rookie) in Patrick Kane, and the 2010 Conn Smythe trophy winner (playoff MVP) in Jonathan Toews (www.Chicagoblackhawks.com).
Along with having a great roster and being first in the NHL, the Blackhawks have a pretty impressive playoff streak. It is currently at 4 years and counting. During this streak they won the Stanley cup in 2010 [(league champions) www.chicagoblackhawks.com] in 6 games over the Philadelphia Flyers. Also they hold the second longest playoff streak ever at 28 seasons, 1 season short of the record Boston Bruins at 29(www.nhl.com).
Once again; the Chicago Blackhawks are first place in the NHL, they have one of the best rosters in the

The New York Islanders brand is embedded within their traditions. Even the change of something as small as the goal horn, from the original foghorn that commended the Long Islands maritime traditions to the sound of the subway-inspired goal horn caused an outcry due to the fact that it did not symbolize the team, creating an unfamiliar environment and disrupting a branding technique that had been established decades ago (Drance, 2016). The New York Islanders entered the NHL in 1972, the last time they won a Stanley Cup was in 1983 (Kwong, 2015). Their main fan base consists of the people of that generation patiently waiting for that opportunity to arise again while passing down their traditions to their children and…

To the Strikers nothing was worse than a loss to the Flames. This rivalry began over three years ago when both teams played their first game against each other. The Chicago Blackhawks are loaded with talent, and 24-year-old rookie left winger Artemi Panarin has wasted no time solidifying himself as the Blackhawks’ next superstar. Panarin isn’t the only star on Chicago’s roster as studs Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews are only three years Panarin’s elder. The Blackhawks newcomer leads all rookies in points (57), goals (22) and assists (35). The next closest NHL rookie behind Panarin in points is Arizona Coyotes rookie Max Domi, who is a healthy 15 points behind (42 points) the Blackhawks’ Russian rookie. Chicago has a balanced and talented roster with players in their prime, coupled with a solid foundation of youth. Hence, the Blackhawks should be in contention for an NHL title for the next decade.…
