It is very important to plan to meet the care and learning needs of children 0-5 years the main care needs for babies are providing healthy food/bottles throughout the day. Always maintaining hygiene making sleeping routines, sharing information with parents and receiving information from parents, creating a bond with the baby making them feel safe and secure in their environment, creating a safe environment by following health and safety policies, always risk assessing the room before the babies are due to arrive into the room. It is important to meet the care and learning needs for children their main care and learning needs are maintaining hygiene showing them how to wash their hands properly before and after meals and after they go to the toilet. Planning sleep/rest routines, bonding with the children making them feel safe in their environment, set feeding time’s breakfast, lunch and a snack before they go home. Making set times and days for one on one sessions with each child, setting out daily routines for each day that child is in to help them feel organised and settled while in the setting. Making the children feel safe when in the setting by always carrying out risk assessments inside and out before they enter the space.
Learning needs for babies are identifying where they are up to with age and stage and what milestones they have achieved and what ones they need help to achieve so that you can set up plans and activities around those milestones. Identifying children with special needs and what help they need and to then set out activities and tasks to help them succeed and reach their milestones. Bringing in outside agencies to help with their needs and helping them to feel that they are doing well and not putting them down also sharing information with parents always listening to
