So there’s something that’s within a person that preventing them from making the “right” decision. It’s obvious that the choice is no longer in a person’s control, but the choice is doing the controlling. For example, why is it that the person can’t just put their addiction down and walk away? Some people can get addicted to something and it takes years for them to finally realize that they need to stop or they’ll end up in a bad situation. While others can try something and not get addicted and from that point decide for themselves that this isn’t for them. Proving that we are not the once that get to choose the end result. The choice isn’t up to them or everyone would say no and move on with their lives. People can disagree that the choice is up to us and a person can stop whenever they want. Just like with an addiction, in life there are several factors that make a person become dependent on so a decision can be made. This means that there are other things that are effecting, controlling, and manipulating the outcome. So since it’s not an independent factor, the choice a person presumed they had is really nonexistent. Another thing is there is a point in time where choice isn’t really a choice it’s just a replacement for something else. Those same people may not realize that if you couldn’t choose the beginning and don’t choice the end, how can the middle be any different, it can’t. Similar to addiction transfer when, one addiction replaces another and that replacement is disguised as a choice. The choice we make aren’t really being made by us, but actuality has already been made. No one really choices addiction, it’s something that happens to varying people and they try their best to deal with
