Mission Statement
The purpose of this document is to clearly and simply state the companies expectations, outline acceptable behavior and present options for asking questions and voicing concerns. We expect concern and respect for others, trustworthiness and honesty, fairness and accountability, the common values of society to be implemented while employed at SKR Oil Company. This code must be applied through all employees and officers of this company which includes outsiders such as suppliers and subcontractors.
General Obligations of Employees
Understanding and compliance of the Code
As an employee of SKR Oil Company you have an obligation to read this booklet and understand how our code works and become familiar with what is expected of you. You have the right to ask questions pertaining to this code. All officers of this company are expected to comply with the rules, regulations and laws as well as have all employees in there divisions in compliance and understanding with this code. Any employee shall be equipped with the proper training to carry out our code. Any defiance will be dealt with fairly and swiftly and can result in suspension or termination.
If You See Something, Say Something
Each employee has a responsibility to report any illegal or unethical behavior. We all have to act a certain way in order to keep up with our impeccable reputation we have been working on since the beginning of our company. As an employee of this company you will constantly be making decisions that can affect this company and all the people you work with. How do you know if the decision you have made is right or wrong? On a personal level live by the mom/child rule. Can you tell your mom or child about the choice you have made? On a Business level, you should ask yourself how it would affect this company. Would the president agree with this choice. What would you think if you read this in the news about another company. If you are having trouble deciding between right or wrong please ask for help.
Confict of Interest
A conflict of interest comes about when when somebody has to choose between personal advancement or choosing the interests of the company and its employees. Our conflict of interest policy states that no person employed by SKR Oil shall personally gain by means that will negatively affect the company. Personal gain includes but not limited to money, gifts, loans, guarantees of obligations, special treatment and outside work with a competitor. Our employees should avoid doing things that could impair their judgement, or sway their thinking process to one side or the other when deciding between their own personal interests and those of the company’s. Any person with knowledge of a conflict of interest should report it to the Vice President of the company.
Maintaining Accurate Books and Records
Both United States and overseas accounts are responsible for maintaining accurate books and records. It is against the code to “hide money”. pay one person when in fact the money went to another or making unauthorized transfers or withdrawls. A person with knowledge of this should report it to the Chief Financial Officer.Environmental Responsibility
We are an Environmentally conscientious company. No employee of this company shall be negligent or ignorant when dealing with unnatural environmental disasters such as the pollution of Americas’ streams, rivers and oceans by sewage, chemicals or other pollutants. We are fully committed to meeting the social demands of sustaining the environment and meeting our customer needs for environmentally sound products and services. As a part of promoting an environmentally conscientious company we promote telecommuting and carpooling. A reward will be offered to those who comit to carpooling on a regular basis and a laptop or desktop will be provided to those who are willing and able to telecommutes.

We are committed to providing a place of work that is free from sexual harassment which can be defined as unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors and any other sexual nature either verbal or physical. We also provide a work environment that is free of violence. This is a threat to the safety of our employees and reflects on how we are viewed in the public eye. The above offenses will result in an automatic termination or your employment.
Insider Trading
This involves insiders, any person who has material, non-public information to a company, taking this information and either buying or selling a share or security of this company or passing on related information regarding the company to further their own financial situation. Any person who knowingly commits any act of insider trading will be dealt with accordingly. This is illegal and punishably by law.
