I have been taught that leaders are not born and that they are made. As a child, I learned what it took to lead, and how I should always apply myself and voice my questions and opinions. I strive to stay true to my beliefs and character, and this has led me to become a leader and example for both children and my classmates to follow. Although I am quiet and prefer to listening over talking, I set an example for my peers by being active in class discussions, getting involved in extracurriculars, being respectful to the staff and teachers, and being diligent and managing my time. Through doing these things and involving myself in the school, I have become a role model and example for my classmates to follow.

Attending the meetings and giving back to my community will allow me to better educate myself on the events taking place in the school, and it will provide me with the opportunity to make new friends and give back to my community. Through the National Honor Society, I will be a leader by continuing to set an example for others to follow along with getting involved in animal shelters, food drives, and more church related activities.
