I find that being a teenager living in a first world country in the 21st century, it is nearly impossible to not be reliant on technology. Our whole life is ran by computers from our ride to school all the way to what makes our coffee in the morning. I find that even if I don't want to, I will never not be reliant on technology. Each and every morning I wake up and turn off my alarm which means the very first thing I do in the morning is use technology, all the way until the last thing I do at night which would either be turning off my lamp from reading a book or finishing an episode on netflix, technology is the first thing I use from when I close my eyes until I open them.
If it weren’t for these small things like turning on the lights of my room or checking the time on my watch, my life would not be the same. I feel like these little helpless actions allow me to take those 5 extra minutes from doing my math question step by step, and allowing me to do something that will make me a better person or the world a better place. Which is why I am one-hundred percent satisfied with my feeling of power. I would definitely never want technology to be out of the picture, but at the same time; I would hate for technology to take over. My power vs technology ratio is perfect for me and just me, not my best friend or my mom or anyone else.
